La Fleur

Oh, and by the way....

Was it just me......or did every time you hear the name "La Fluer" did you picture Vince Vaughn in Dodgeball!!??

ha ha ha! I just couldn't help hearing Ben Stiller say La Fleur..... :-)

Love Square

Even though the main focus of this "La Fleur" episode was the obvious love square, there were small tidbits throughout the episode that brought to mind some very interesting questions.

1. When they show the very beginning of the episode, they re-show the part when Locke turns the wheel and goes back to the real world as well as the rest of them at the top of the well. However, this time when they show Locked, he is all alone, talking to himself so-to-speak. So, was Christian not really there? Was he just seeing him? We didn't really think about if he was REALLY there or not before, because Locke was alone so there was no one else to compare what he was seeing to.

2. How can Richard walk through the electric fence thingy unharmed? He says that the fence cannot keep the others out....the only thing that keeps them away is their truce. How is that possible?

3. When Paul and Amy were being attacked, Paul was on the ground dead and the two others were coming at Amy. She was saying, "we're sorry, we didn't mean anything...etc." What happened during their little outing that made the others attack them. It was apparent by that scene that the others attacked them first, since Paul was dead on the ground. However, if they had a truce they should not have done that. Sooo....what started the whole fight in the first place? I can't imagine two others just randomly attacking them during a little picnic. Maybe they stumbled across something they weren't supposed to and the others were afraid of Richard finding out....who knows?

4. When they got back to the fence, after saving Amy, Juliet told her to "turn it off," referring to the "sonic fence of some kind." If Juliet lived there, and knew all about the fence needing a code to be shut off, wouldn't she have also known about the little trap?? How on EARTH did they all fall for that?

5. When Amy goes into labor, the doctor guy says, "I'm just an intern, I can't do a cesarean...women always deliver on the mainland." So, even back then the women delivered on the mainland....did they conceive on the mainland too? So, did they always have baby problems on the island? Hmm......

6. Did Jin find Jack and the gang because he was looking for them? That seems to have been his job for 3 years....to find their other crew mates. Won't the rest of the Dharma people be suspicious that it took THREE YEARS to find the rest of their "crew?" I mean, where could they have been for so long to have not been found? Well, we know where they were, but what will Horace think?

7. Why do the Dharma guys want Sawyer and his gang to get off the island so quickly? He tells him he has to leave becuase the only people allowed there are those with the Dharma Initiative...and he is certainly NOT dharma material....ouch! Did you see the two Dharma losers at the beginning? One of them was dancing with a girl instead of doing his job...that seems like a pretty Sawyer move? So why isn't he Dharma material? If those guys are on the Dharma Initiative, I would guess anyone could be. Even Ben's dad went there as just a janitor, right? (Remember, he was pissed about that.) I just thought that was an interesting little conversation in general.

8. Why are the Dharma people so terribly afraid of Richard? He walked into their camp and an alarm sounded and everyone went into their houses, locked the doors, got out their guns and watched through their windows. I wonder what must have happened when Dharma first arrived on the island and why there is such terror. That also brings up WHY they started their truce to begin with. I mean, if Richard scared the pooey out of those guys, and the others could totally take them, why would they not just attack and get rid of those people? Also, knowing how manipulative Ben is, I'm wondering if he didn't use their little truce to his advantage. If he knew that neither the others or the D.I. would attack each other due to the truce, how did he get the others to help him in killing all the D.I. people? That just doesn't seem like something Richard would do, after seeing this episode. Sooo....I propose that Ben could have killed one of the others, blamed it on the D.I, then proposed a plan to get revenge on them, in which they kill them all and burry them in a giant hole!! He is so manipulative, I can totally see him using some clever ploy like this.

9. Speaking of clever....Horace had a little manipulative moment that was reminiscent of Ben's. He told Amy it was entirely her choice to give up Paul's body and that if she didn't want to give him up, then they would just all suffer the consequences. He didn't really give her much of a choice, but the way he worded it made it seem like she was choosing to help everyone. Sneaky....very Ben-like. Apparently, in order to be a leader on this island, you have to lie to people. Even Jack and Sawyer do this......hmmmm

10. Okay, this one is a doozy......we know that Horace built the log cabin for his family. ...we know that Jacob is in the present the "being" that inhabits this cabin.....we no know that Horace and Amy have a little baby boy.....I propose that Jacob is Horace's son. Don't deny it.....I'm right.

11. Now, Juliet at the end, wants to leave the island. Sawyer convinces her, in his ever-so-charming way to stay just two more weeks....then three years later, she's still there. What did he do in those 2 weeks that made her actually WANT to stay on the island forever? He is a con man after all, I'm just wondering HOW he convinced her...other than by getting into her pants.

12. Speaking of Juliet, she was in "retirement," as Sawyer says, while they are with the D.I. So, none of them KNOWS she is a baby docter....apparently, they think she is a mechanic. However, now that she has delivered this baby, which is normally delivered on the mainland, why doesn't anybody care? They dont' CARE that she was lying? What else could they have been lying about? Nobody seems to question the fact that she delivered the baby. Interesting...

Alright, I'm sure I have more questions, but I think this is sufficient for now. If you think you have the ANSWERS to any of these quesitons, please don't hesitate to post!!!!!

Well congratulations, LOST. You've turned a love triangle into a square.

I have 2 burning questions after watching this week's ep:
-Where the heck is Ben?
Surely this is the Dharma time when Ben was there with his dad, until he kills everyone. Is he there now with Lafluer and company?

-Now what?
Now that Jack, Kate, and co are back on the island in the 70's. now what? do they end up getting purged with the other Dharma's?
