Initial predictions/observations/questions:
1) I believe the two scenarios that they have set up- island and plane- both happened. Chronologically I think the island happenings directly followed the finale from last season and what we are seeing on the plane followed a different "incident" in the future but is indeed a consequence of a resetting of events/time/what have you.
So, after reading some of the blogs, seems clear I might be dead wrong on this. That the producers promised to introduce a new storytelling device and that it's a flash- sideways (ie alternate timeline).
2) It seems that in the plane scenario, Jack and Locke seem to know something is up.
3) I found it interesting that the passengers on the plane spoke to each other in pretty vague terms. In particular the conversation between Boone and Locke- Locke described his walkabout as sleeping under the stairs, killing things with knifes, and making fires which could be used to describe his time on the island as well.
4) Where did Desmond go on the plane?
5) I don't even know where to begin on the island stuff.
